Q + A
How do I RSVP & what's the deadline?
Please RSVP at the tab above or in your email! We kindly ask that you provide your RSVP no later than June 15th.
What should I wear?
For our wedding, we have put together a style mood board which you can find here. Just wear whatever makes you feel great!
Please note, our welcome event and wedding will be outdoors. In late September, Puglia typically has highs around 77°F and lows around 68°F so it should be absolutely gorgina! That said, be sure to check the weather & dress accordingly.
Stilettos and pointed heels are not recommended due to cobblestones, grass, and uneven ground, but do you girl.
How long should I stay in Puglia?
Puglia is a magical travel destination with many beautiful towns to see, if time and costs allow, we highly recommend arriving early or staying later to make the most of your trip!
Check out our Around Apulia tab for more information on interesting day trips in the area. There are also many incredible cooking classes, wine tasting and other adventures you can find on Viator and other sites.
How should I get to wedding events?
We will have transportation to/from our ceremony from select pickup and drop off locations likely in Lecce city center - more details to come. Please be sure to let us know where you're staying in your RSVP.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes! There is plenty of parking onsite.
Do I need a special license to drive in Italy?
According to the U.S. Embassy in Italy, "Americans visiting Italy as tourists and intending to drive should obtain an International Driving Permit before leaving the U.S."
More details can be found HERE.
An International Driving Permit can be obtained via your local AAA office. You will need to provide 2 passport photos for it which can be obtained by any major pharmacy that has a photo department, or a UPS store or equivalent. The point of the permit, in a nutshell, is that it takes the details of your state issued driver's license and translates it into different major languages, so that if you are to ever get pulled over abroad the local police will be able to read the translation of your info.
The special permit is like $15
Can I use credit cards?
In Italy, Visa and Mastercard are the most widely accepted credit cards, while American Express (AMEX) and Discover have more limited acceptance.
Pro Tip: Always choose to pay in euros (€) instead of USD to avoid bad exchange rates, and don't forget to carry some cash (€50-100), especially for small shops, taxis, public restrooms, and rural areas.
When in doubt, ask if cards are accepted before ordering at small restaurants or cafés!
Is it possible to carpool with other guests?
We would love to try and make this happen to save on costs and logistics for all, if you are interested in splitting a rental car with other guests and need help connecting, please let us know and we'll do what we can.
Our email is katyandgregbk@gmail.com.
Is there a babysitter for my kids?
There are affordable babysitting services available in the region, which you can find here. If you are bringing your kids, please let us know.
Can I stay at the wedding venue?
Our venue has extemely limited rooms onsite so we ask that you please look at the many options in the surrounding areas of Lecce. If you are interested in splitting an airbnb or similar accomodation with other guests, let us know if we can help make a connection.
